Bryn Mawr alums (and their guests) are invited to a private tour of Vermont’s most important building by Curator David Schutz and State Senator Wendy Harrison ’84. The State House serves as the home of Vermont’s General Assembly, hosts ceremonial and social events of the Governor, and is a treasury of 19th and 20th art and Vermont’s Civil War history. We will share with you the little-known Philadelphia connection of the building.
We’ll meet at the State House at 115 State Street, Montpelier, at 10 AM on Saturday, June 7. We can also visit the Vermont History Museum, and/or the Supreme Court building, both of them next to the State House. Let me know in advance if you are interested in the Supreme Court building, as that will require special access.
There’s no charge for the tour. Wendy will arrange reservations at a restaurant walkable from the State House, where we can pay individually.
