Friday, February 28, 2025 The Bryn Mawr Club of New York City 2025 Evelyn Barish ’56 Poetry Contest For a fourth year, New York alumna Evelyn Barish ’56 is sponsoring a poetry prize to be awarded by the Bryn Mawr Club of New York City to a Bryn Mawr alum. This year’s topic is hope for the earth. The poem should be submitted in traditional haiku format: three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five syllables in the third line. Deadline: 4:00 PM ET

In April, the College will host memorials for Brunilde "Bruni" Ridgway PhD '58, professor emeritus in the Department of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology as well as Elizabeth "Betty" G. Vermey ’58, Director Emeritus of Admissions. More information will be shared soon.
