Mawrters in Africa

17h30 CAT (Central African Time)
11:30 am EDT

Map of Africa

A question was raised during our last convening in February about why others should care about the African continent. The best way to answer that question is by highlighting the good news stories and the significant work being done on the Continent - including by fellow alumnae/i. The singular focus of a vast number of these projects and programs is to unlock and support human talent development across all ages on the Continent.

Join us in May as we try to not only answer the question that was raised at our last meeting, but also to address key aspects of the context in which education, skills, development, and talent management are viewed globally.

The lineup of speakers for our discussion includes:

  • Alice Lesnick (Bryn Mawr faculty), Director and Term Professor in the Bryn Mawr/Haverford Education Program and Associate Dean for Global Engagement
  • Tiffany Shumate ('08 | USA/GHA), University Partnerships at NVIDIA
  • Rachel Jean Baptiste ('95 | USA/Haiti), Associate Professor Department of History at UC Davis
