Join President Kim Cassidy in a conversation with historian and author Drew Gilpin Faust ‘68 about her new memoir “Necessary Trouble: Growing Up at Midcentury.”
Published in August, the book chronicles her experience of coming of age in a conservative Southern family in postwar America and how, through her intellectual curiosity and engagement with social justice issues, she began to find her own path forward. Faust was a student activist and protester during her years at Bryn Mawr College and later went on to become the first female president of Harvard University (2007-2018).
