Perry House

Legacy Weekend is an annual traditional to honor and uplift the Enid Cook '31 Center community, particularly the graduating seniors. The Enid Cook '31 Center primarily serves Black and Latinx students, as well as members of Sisterhood*, BACaSO, Mujeres*, and Zami+. Legacy Day was started by ECC community members, students who are members of Sisterhood*, Mujers, BaCaSO and Zami.

This year we will be focusing on honoring Perry House, all members of Sisterhood*, BaCaso, Mujeres+ and Zami+ are invited to spend time honoring what Perry House was and to weave together our legacies as alumnae/i, soon-to be alumnae/i and our current class of 2024.

Please consider visiting campus, even if you haven't returned in a while, we are in community and in fellowship, sharing an incredible memory and collectively leaving our mark.

Alumnae/i are invited to enjoy the festivities on Saturday with the opportunity to meet the artist herself, Nekiesha Durrett.

The activities for the day are as follows:

Don't Forget to Remember (Me) - ARCH Project

Nekisha Durrett

Current students and alumnae/i are invited to remember and honor Perry House with Nekisha Durrett, the artist behind Bryn Mawr’s upcoming monument Don't Forget to Remember (Me). The new art piece will be homed in The Cloisters of the Old Library.

Please check out more about Nekisha and the ARCH project by clicking here!

The monument will be created in part by brick pathways. As a means to honor the stories untold here on campus, those bricks will be made using soil collected from Perry Garden. We will have the opportunity to participate in the soil collection!

This is an amazing opportunity to have a hand in a historical moment here on campus to honor something dear to us all.
